When I heard about the walk through nocturnal Paris as part of the colloquium “cohabiter les nuits urbaines”, I saw the participants (including myself) somewhere deep down in Parisian bars and nightclubs. Well, the actual walk made me realize that doing research on bouncers had narrowed my understanding of nighttime. The walk and the thematic input of the colloquium inspired me to see the city at night from a different angle, so I continued wandering during the subsequent nights. Noticing architecture, illumination, and darkness, and their ways to create and shape a nocturnal urban landscape more intensely than before. Still, a beer can has creeped in. Can you find it?
